No Arrow

No Arrow was a grunge and alternative rock band from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, active primarily between 2005 and 2008. Originally named Murder Playground, the band became a prominent fixture in the local scene with their aggressive sound and raw on-stage energy. Led by vocalist and guitarist Dann Pichette, No Arrow featured a revolving lineup of accomplished bassists (Jason Bourcier, Brad Griffith, Harley Syrette, and Dean Scheepmaker) alongside drummer Joe Falco. The band performed regularly throughout the city, even appearing at a Sault Area Wrestling event in 2007.

Despite their relatively brief run, No Arrow left a lasting impression on the regional music landscape. While their material showcased a compelling identity, the band also gained recognition for their commitment to live performance, as documented in a number of surviving online videos. A short-lived reunion in 2011 brought the original lineup back together for one final show, but their legacy remains rooted in their contributions during a time when grunge had largely fallen out of mainstream favor, making No Arrow a uniquely underappreciated act in Northern Ontario’s music history.

Though they recorded extensively for an album titled Souls For Sale, the project was never officially released, with the group disbanding by early 2008. No Arrow's posthumous affiliation with MorningStar Records brings this never-before-heard record to the world, with release on CD and LP.
