Album Artwork Specifications

On-Demand CD and LP units are produced and sold by ElasticStage, on behalf of MorningStar Records.

Bulk CD units to be distributed to artists are produced by Kunaki LLC and shipped directly to artists.

Kunaki and ElasticStage produce different styles of CDs. While ElasticStage produces cardboard digipak-style units which include a 12-page full color booklet, Kunaki produces only jewel case-style CDs with a single double-sided cover image, and a full-color inlay design. Due to this, multiple specifications are outlined below. Artists must format their artwork for ElasticStage CDs (and LPs if the album meets the format limitations), in order for their album to be included on the MorningStar Records Webstore, which is powered by ElasticStage. Artists wishing to order in a bulk shipment of CD units to sell outside the scope of MorningStar Records must format their artwork for Kunaki. Below, all artwork specifications for both manufacturers are outlined in detail.

Any further inquiries or requests for assistance in formatting artwork may be directed to contact@morningstarrecords.com.
